Two days ago, near a bookstore where I went to
buy an English-Chinese dictionary for an inmate,
I met two dear ladies from Canada. One of them, Therese, gave me her name card
.....she's the (a) Directrice of this amazing
international school which has a 2012 Rhodes Scholar!

On today's menu, there's a beautiful article by
Brian Pitts, published yesterday on Catholica.
When I saw the name Brian Pitts, I wondered if it was the Brian Pitts I used to
hear about
when I was in the Oblate seminary long ago in Melbourne
....that Brian had generously stayed in South Africa after his Oblate seminary
studies there, to serve the Zulu people
And when I read the article....yes...the writer
had worked among the Zulu people.
And the fire of the vision of Vatican II is still burning in his 74 year old
heart
Brian, if you're reading this, I'd love to hear from you.
We've never met, but I've heard lots of good things about you.
Two of your classmates recently celebrated their Golden Jubilee of priesthood
