Well-informed about the modern world, the lay person should be a member of his own community and adjusted to its culture

This means not cutting ourselves off from local cultural events and the local people....as sometimes happens with "religious people"

It's possible for people, especially "church groups"
to become ignorant of what's going on in the wider community,
to become isolated from the local community,
and to have no interest in local events

This is not what Jesus did. He immersed himself, as a good Jew
and as a Teacher, in the nitty gritty of the daily lives of the people of his time

Jesus, please help all Christians stay grounded!
