Being a Christian means living a life of
charity,
a life nourished by the Bible,
a life of prayer,
a life that orbits around the Liturgy, especially the Eucharist,
a life of love of God and love of neighbour
Jesus himself said that the greatest of all
love
is to lay down our life for others.
Such supreme witness to love
is the path of the martyrs, past and present.
All Christians must be prepared to die, if necessary, for the faith
A little known fact:
Last century, more Christians were martyred in China
than in the rest of the world put together.
See this
review of "China's Book of Martyrs" by Paul Hattaway,
a powerful book that inspires all Christians to live the faith with courage
Jesus, please give all Christians the courage
to die for you if necessary
