After visit to prison yesterday afternoon I was a bit tired last night as I worked on menu for this website....until I came across this piece of news which made me jump ....like the unexpected news that your lowly football team has beaten the team on top of the ladder....an electrifying effect on the energy level!
Imagine: Pope is not going to say Holy Thursday Mass in St Peter's, but in a prison! Will cause a few heads to turn. And...he's inviting 3,000 poor people as extras! Straight out of the beautiful story The Homeless Bishop at the end of which the pope invites Rome's poor people to a Mass in St Peter's Square!
Imagine: the world's bishops follow Francis' example, and say Holy Thursday Mass in a prison
Imagine:
extra priests who usually concelebrate Holy Thursday Mass
instead say Mass in a prison
I did it in 2011...will never forget it...a number of non-Christians attended...I tried to explain everything clearly as we went along...but must have missed something, because after the washing of feet, one man asked me "Father, shall we drink the water?"
