Dear Friends
Recently I met an inmate who was tricked into
bringing drugs from Africa to Hong Kong. A poor lady, struggling to make a
living for her children, she was told taking drugs to HK was easy, no problem.
Now she's facing a minimum HK stay of about 8 years...since 95% of drug people
from Africa and South America are arrested on as they try to go through
customs....since anyone from Africa and South America is a target of suspicion
re drugs
Last week a similar case. Another African, a young guy....had been told the same story, with the same result. And the man telling him the story was the same man who is responsible for a number of other African men now in HK's prisons
I don't like to see people go to prison, but I'll make an exception for the above story tellers. They are the ones who should be behind bars.
