Dear Friends
God
bless all Muslim friends for the start of Ramadan today!
Many such friends in detention centres...and they sincerely keep the
fast...don't eat till night time
In
yesterday's blog I mentioned going for a swim at Lai Chi Kok Detention Centre
staff club.
Yesterday I had a second swim there....just what doctor ordered after a long day
in the prison
But
I was not able to get honorary membership of the staff club,
so I had to find someone to sign me in.
I just sat on the low wall outside the main door (for a whole 3 minutes)
until a kind officer who knows me well came along and did the needful
I
thought of the story in John's Gospel (start of chapter 5)
about the sick people at the pool
waiting for someone to help them get into the water!
Which is why I've named the staff pool Bethesda!
