Dear Friends
Last
Sunday after my Chinese Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Chi Fu,
as I left the Church I noticed an African man waiting for the next Mass, an
English Mass.
Being
a friendly Australian....and sensing he was new to the place...I said hello
...and we started talking. I gave him my little "Doctor Jesus" book as
a name card
(it has my details on back page) and then my eyes lit up when he gave me his
name card:
he's a consul at an African consulate general in HK! And that
country has many inmates in HK's prisons.
We
said goodbye and I went to my next Mass...at St Anthony's, Pokfulam.
After Mass there was a phone call from the consul "How about lunch with me
and my wife
at my home"
Consul:
really friendly, faith-filled....hoping he can attend my Friday prayer service
at Lai Chi Kok
....usually about 20 Africans in the group of 30-40
Wife: really good cook! (and a university professor!)
Moral of the story: say hello to strangers in church!
