Dear Friends
Today
in Hong Kong and many other places is a public holiday
for the Dragon Boat
Festival ...a day for eating dumplings!
This
festival, like many others around the world,
is linked to the movement of the sun and the moon
So,
in the Northern Hemisphere, this is the time of the
Summer Solstice,
and the longest day of the year.
In the Southern Hemisphere, this is the time of the
Winter Solstice,
and the shortest day of the year
The
Guy who put the sun and the earth in their orbits
sure did a good job. If the earth and sun were even a fraction off their present
axes,
we'd either freeze or melt to death
"When
I see the heavens, the work of your hands,
I stop and think....how great is your name, O Lord our God"
------
On
this 23rd of the month, Jesus
please bless the
people of Guangxi
(Please join me in praying for one
part of China each day of the month)
My Bible Plan for today = Please join me in using these
readings
to help think about our purpose in this huge universe
Thank you for a prayer
God bless!
