Dear Friends

Last Wednesday at Hei Ling Chau Island, I visited a centre for about 120 "young drug offenders"
and offered them the new Chinese edition of "Dr Jesus" (which has references to getting out of drugs)
and the new Chinese edition of "Simple Bible: Old Testament"

Books went like hot cakes. So much so that I ran out of books
and will have to return to that centre next Wednesday DV

All of these young guys are under 21 years old.
Many are 15-16 years old

Nearly all of them left school early.
Very few made it to Year 9.
Many never made it to secondary school (Year 7).
Most of them, a big number, are from broken/troubled homes

Bottom line: let's do all we can to help students stay at school as long as they can.
Let's do all we can to support students in their studies.
Maybe schools can have after-school study centres for special students?
(..most of young people above had no study encouragement at home...).
Let's do all we can to help families stay together

On this 22nd of the month, Jesus please bless the people of Zhejiang
(Please join me in praying for one part of China each day of the month)

Today's English editorial in the Ming Pao newspaper (HK),
"Illegal structures found in Leung's house" (June 22)
and my recording of same,
can be accessed here  from midday HK time June 22 to mid-evening HK time June 22

My Bible Plan for today = Please join me in using these readings for courage
to break down walls of fear/prejudice/mistrust/misunderstanding/sickness!

Thank you for a prayer

God bless!
