Computer Cud            V 2 asks us to read the Bible every day,   'to have a burning love'   for the Word of God              Resolution

O Holy Spirit, please guide me as I read these passages for today. 
May these passages give me hope, strength, wisdom, courage and peace for my daily life 

God said to Moses:

"Build me a sacred tent so that I may live among the people.

Let everyone follow the promptings of their heart
in making contributions for the building of the temple.

Make a sacred chest (ark) to hold
the stone tablets on which are the Ten Commandments,
Aaron's rod and some manna.

Also make a table for the bread of offering,
and a golden lamp-stand."

Dear God, thank you for churches and other special places for prayer

Sing a new song to the Lord for he has worked wonders.
His right hand has brought salvation.

The Lord has made known his salvation.
He has shown his justice to the nations.

He has remembered his truth and love 
for the house of Israel.

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Shout to the Lord all the earth, ring out your joy.

Sing psalms to the Lord with the harp,
with the sound of music.

Let the sea, the world and all peoples
acclaim the King, the Lord.

Let the rivers clap their hands
and the hills ring out their joy

at the presence of the Lord, 
for he comes to rule the earth.

He will rule the world with justice
and the peoples with fairness.

Lord, may all peoples in all countries know your love and goodness

Paul said to the crowd "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus.
I was brought up here in Jerusalem. I studied under Gamaliel. 
I fully observed the Law of our ancestors.
I even persecuted this Way to the death, and sent many people to prison

But once when I was on my way to Damascus to arrest followers of the Way, Jesus appeared to me and said 'I am Jesus the Nazarene, and you are persecuting me'.  A believer in Damascus told me I was to be Jesus' witness in many places"

Up to now, the crowd had listened quietly to Paul, but when he said that Jesus was sending him to non-Jews in far away places, the crowd shouted "Rid the earth of this man! He's not fit to live!"

Jesus, please help Jewish people accept you as the Anointed One

Jesus spoke to his disciples about the future:

"On account of my name you will be hated, tortured and killed.
But the Good News of the kingdom will spread to every nation
before the end of the world.

At the end of the world, the sun and moon will stop shining.
Stars will fall from the sky.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky
and all peoples will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds
with power and glory.

He will send his angels with a loud trumpet
to gather good people from all parts of the earth.

Therefore you should live a good life,
and you will have nothing to fear on your last day."

Jesus, please help me be a good person
