O Holy Spirit, please guide me as I read these passages for today. 
May these passages give me hope, strength, wisdom, courage and peace for my daily life 

As the Israelites traveled through the desert
they began to complain about not having enough food.

So God rained down bread, manna,  from heaven
in the form of a coating of dew
which appeared on the ground each morning,
as well as flocks of quails which came every evening.

For forty years the Israelites ate manna and quails,
bread and birds.

Dear God, thank you for the food we have each day

I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.
Of this I am sure, that your love lasts for ever.

The heavens proclaim your wonders, O Lord.
The heavens are yours, the world is yours.

Blessed the people who find joy in you,
who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face.

Thank you, Lord, for our beautiful world

For three months, Paul went to the Jewish prayer hall in Ephesus,
speaking boldly about the kingdom of God

When some Jews strongly attacked the Way,
he stopped going to the prayer hall, and began daily discussions in a lecture room

He kept doing this for two years, with the result that people from many places, 
both Jews and non-Jews, were able to hear the word of God

Jesus, please give more and more people the opportunity to hear your word

A young man asked Jesus
"Master, what do I have to do to get to Heaven?"

Jesus replied "Keep the commandments:
do not kill;  do not commit adultery; honor your father and mother;
care for others as much as you care about yourself".

The young man said "I have kept all these commandments.
What else do I need to do?"

Jesus said "If you want to do something really special with your life,
go and sell all your possessions, give the money to the poor,
then come and follow me as one of my disciples".

When the young man heard these words he went away sad,
because he was very rich.

Jesus then said to his disciples
"It is hard for a rich person to get to Heaven".

Jesus,  don't let riches endanger my eternal life
