Tobit 13

Tobit praised and thanked God in these words:

"Blessed be God who lives for ever,
declare his praise in every nation.

He is our Creator, our God, our Father.
Praise him for all his kindness to us.

My soul rejoices in the King of heaven.
Let his praise be sung in Jerusalem and in all nations."

Dear God, may you be known and loved
by all the peoples of the world, since all people are your children

Psalms 29-30

The Lord gives us strength, the Lord blesses us with peace.

Thank you, Lord, for so often helping and healing me.
I cried to you when sickness surrounded me, and you healed me.

You  changed my mourning into dancing.
So I will thank you always.

Thank you, Lord, for all the times you have healed me

Hebrews 8-9

Jesus' priesthood is part of the new covenant predicted in the Scriptures:

"See, the days are coming - it is the Lord who speaks
- when I will establish a new covenant with the House of Israel"

Christ has come as High Priest of all the blessings that were predicted

He has offered not the blood of animals like priests of the old covenant,
but his own blood, by which he won our redemption

His blood can purify our inner self from dead actions,
to help us in our life of dedication to the living God

Jesus, by your precious blood, purify my heart and protect me

Luke 24

On Sunday morning, at daybreak, the women went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the large stone which had been put at the tomb's entrance had been rolled away

They entered the tomb and found that the body of Jesus was not there. Suddenly two men in brilliant clothes appeared at their side

The men said to them "Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here. He has risen, just as he said he would"

The women told all this to the eleven apostles.
But the apostles did not believe them

Jesus,  increase my faith in your resurrection
