Genesis 23, 24

Not long after his wife Sarah died
Abraham told his number one servant
to go back to Haran and find a wife for his son Isaac.

The servant went to Haran, to the town of Nahor.

When women were getting water from the well in Nahor
the servant prayed to God for help to find a wife for Isaac.

He said to God,
"If I ask a woman for a drink and she answers
'Please take some of my water,
and I'll give some to your camels, too'
may she be the one you have chosen for Isaac."

He had barely finished his prayer
when Rebecca, daughter of Bethuel came to the well.

She was very beautiful and not married.

The servant asked her for water  and she said
"Drink, sir...and I'll get water for your camels, too."

Bethuel, a relative of Abraham,
gladly agreed for Rebecca to go with the servant
to be Isaac's wife.

Rebecca herself was happy with the plan.

Isaac married Rebecca and loved her dearly.

Dear God, please help people to find "Mr/Mrs Right"

Psalm 22

(Many things in this psalm happened to Jesus when he was put to death. This psalm is a prophecy of  Jesus' death)

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
I call to you for help, but day and night you give no reply.

I am a worm and not a man.
Everyone who sees me makes fun of me.

They taunt  me:
"He trusted in the Lord, why doesn't the Lord help him?"

Like water I am poured out, my bones no longer connected.
My throat is parched, my tongue sticks to my jaws.

Many evil people attack me.
They make holes in my hands and my feet.
They await my death.

They divide my clothing among them,
they throw a dice for my robe.

Yet I know Lord, that  you are good and holy.
I know how you heard the cries of our ancestors
and you helped them.

It was you who took me from the womb
and entrusted me to my mother's breast.

To you I was committed from my birth,
from my mother's womb you have been my God.

Lord, I trust in you even now.
I trust you will not scorn my prayer.

Even now I praise you as my Creator.
May all the nations know and worship you.

Lord, please help people who are big trouble right now,
especially people whose lives are in danger

Acts 5

All the believers used to meet regularly in an area of the Temple. Their numbers kept on increasing

So many miracles kept happening that sick people were laid on beds on the street, in the hope that at least Peter's shadow would cover them as he walked past

People came from the towns near Jerusalem,
bringing their sick,
and all of the sick were healed

Jesus, let more healings take place in our day

Matthew 8

In the town of Capernaum, a Roman army captain said to Jesus
"Sir, my servant is paralyzed and in great pain."
Jesus replied "I will go and heal him".

But the captain said
"Sir, I am not worthy that you should enter my house.
Just say the word and my servant will be healed.

For I understand orders. I give an order, and people act.
I know that you also just need to give an order,
and my servant will be healed".

Jesus said
"This foreigner's faith is greater than that of the local people.
And I  tell you that in the future
people from all parts of the world
will be in the kingdom of heaven".

Then Jesus said to the captain
"Go home. Your request made in faith is granted".

And the servant was healed at that moment

Jesus, please give more people,
from all parts of the world, the faith of the captain
