We look for signs of significance for our time

(Comments welcome here)

The Church and laity have always looked for miracles, signs and events that might signify the working of The Holy Spirit and tried to discern from them the will of God for his Holy Church on earth. Four Popes on the world stage can be described as a major event within the church and we can look for signs of its significance.

The canonization of John Paul the Second has been driven at great speed by some force within the Church “Hell-bent” on its completion, no matter what the cost to the reputation of the church: Why? Three days prior to the canonization of JP2 this image was circulated by the media to the majority of mankind,

Christians and others would have looked at it, and tried to understand its significance; this is my humble interpretation of its meaning.

Prior to the collapse of this structure, with the statue of Jesus attached to the cross, we would have seen, that it was significantly different to what we are accustomed to seeing, as normally in the representation of the crucifixion, we would see Jesus held high between heaven and earth with the top (crown) of the cross (tree) directed upwards to heaven, with his beloved Son Jesus Christ in total obedience, submitting to our Father’s Will. But on this representation we would have seen the cross (Tree) bent acutely downwards, as if been drawn away from our Fathers Will to the earth, towards mans will.

In the image above we now see the collapsed structure of the cross, at the foot of a mountain with its apex embedded in the earth, with the flags (tablets of stone) surrounding it shattered with the two arms of the cross also appearing  to be broken. This image draws our thoughts into the time when Moses broke (shattered) the two stone tablets at the foot of Mount Sinai, which had written upon them, by Gods own finger (Will) the living Word of God. As we analyse the photograph we appear to see that the symbolic right hand index finger of God, has been separated from the hand of Christ and now is laid on the earth, which could symbolize that God’s Will (Holy Spirit) has been separated from the authority of Christ’s church on earth and that now, his authority is in the hands earthly men, as the other fingers on the right detached hand of Christ are seen embedded downwards in the earth. If we look closely at the wound on his right side, where the lance pierced our beloved Saviour, you will see a stake conveniently positioned  imitating the point of the lance as it is about to enter the broken image of Christ. Now look to the top of the picture you will see a Lodge/Temple with two dark (symbolic) figures, looking down upon the image of the broken Christ, this lodge was strategically placed above the head of Christ symbolizing dominance over His Church on earth. I have read that when the cross collapsed a young disabled man was crushed and killed and this could be symbolic of the Catholic Church crushing the innocent victims and their families in the child abuse scandal cover up, in holding their sufferings in contempt before the world media.

By publicly humiliated them further, in using the authority of the Holy Spirit (Truth)  to bestow the highest honour the church can give upon the one man, who so many believe could have averted the untold suffering of so many innocent and vulnerable victims.

I believe that this image will become an icon for those who hate Christ as it symbolizes the destruction of Gods established holy church on earth.
