Re meeting of Pope Francis and 800 sisters at Vatican

Not sure if there was any problem with the translation, but I was dismayed by what Pope Francis said during his meeting with representatives of the UISG.  If my son and daughter had read about it they would not have any more faith in the Church.

I love Pope Francis but I find these comments to Sisters rather bizarre. The problems with worldly ambition and status-seeking and I'm sorry to say religious hypocrisy have come from the ranks of the all-male clergy. There's masses of evidence for it - yet women are told to know their place! I understand that for the Pope, he wishes to preserve tradition but there are ways of preserving it which allows it to breathe not stifle its members - some of whom are the most saintly in the Church. I'm not calling for women's ordination but some recognition of the role of women as more than silent mothers.

I agree our dear Nuns must be Mothers to us all but Pope Francis must deal with the Bishops and Priests who put themselves on pedestals. They should behave like Fathers too.Be like our Pope.Be humble, simple, approachable and practice poverty instead of behaving like Princes. God bless our Church and change these Priests otherwise we will find less followers believing and emptier churches.
