  Reading:  Exodus 36

The Israelites were so generous towards building the Tent
that Moses was told by the craftsmen:
"The people are bringing more than is needed for the Lord's Tent."

The skilled workers made the tabernacle, the framework
and the veil for the Tent of Meeting.

Reflection:
May our world not lose the spirit of generosity to those in need.
May our world not suffer from a "globalisation of indifference"

Prayer:
Dear God, please give me a generous heart

Reading: Psalm 95

Come ring out our joy to the Lord.
Hail the rock who saves us.

Let us come before him giving thanks.
With songs let us praise the Lord.

A mighty God is the Lord,
a great king above all gods.

In his hand are the depths of the earth.
The heights of the mountains are his.

To him belongs the sea, for he made it,
and the dry land shaped by his hands.

Come in, let us bow and bend low.
Let us kneel before the God who made us.

For he is our God
and we are the people who belong to his pasture.

Reflection:
To God belong the sea and the mountains. We are related to the sea and the mountains and the trees and the animals ....since we all come from God.  We can indeed speak about "Brother Sun, Sister Moon, Brother Mountain, Sister Fish etc"

Prayer: Lord, our Creator, help us see that all creatures are cousins

Reading:  Colossians 3

Kill all the bad things that trouble earthly life:
fornication, impurity, evil desires, greed,  anger, bad temper, spitefulness, abusive language, dirty talk and lying

You have deleted your old self, and have downloaded a fresh copy of the divine image. That image is Christ. He must be installed in every part of your life

Reflection:
At Baptism something very special (.."grace", "divine life" etc..) was downloaded from heaven into our lives. But downloading is not enough.
Installing must follow downloading

Prayer: Jesus, take over my life. Install yourself in every part of my life

Reading:  Luke 10

The 72 came back rejoicing. "Lord", they said, "even the devils submit to us when we use your name"

Jesus replied "Yes, I have given you  power to tread underfoot the whole strength of the enemy

Yet do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you. Rejoice rather that your names are written in heaven

Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it"

Reflection:
What happened to the 72?  Did they all desert Jesus? Tradition says that some of them became saints (e.g. Polycarp, Ignatius of Antioch)

Prayer:
Jesus, may all Christians grow in awareness of the power of prayer in your name
