  Reading:  Exodus 34

Again Moses went up the mountain and stood before God.

God described himself: "I am the Lord,
a God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger,
rich in kindness and faithfulness."

When Moses came down from the mountain
the skin on his face was radiant
after speaking with God.

Reflection:
It's correct to describe God as the almighty Creator of the universe,
but God's self-description is more accurate:
tender, compassionate, slow to anger, rich in kindness and faithfulness

Prayer:
Dear God, we praise your tenderness and compassion

Reading: Psalm 93

The Lord is king, with majesty enrobed,
he has girded himself with power.

The world you made firm, not to be moved.
From all eternity, O Lord, you are.

The oceans and coastlines of the world
are majestic and powerful.

But greater than the roar of mighty waters,
more glorious than the surging of the sea
is the Lord on high.

Such a Lord, such a Creator, such a God.
Truly your decrees are to be trusted.

Holiness is fitting to your house
O Lord, always and everywhere.

Reflection:
When walking along a surf beach, with big waves crashing to the shore,
the above words are a beautiful prayer:
"Greater than the roar of mighty waters, more glorious than the surging of the sea, is the Lord on high

Prayer: We praise you, Lord, our Creator, who made the waves of the sea

Reading:  Colossians 2

In Christ's body lives the fullness of divinity.
In him, you too find fulfillment

In baptism, you were buried with him and then raised to new life.
Our real life is life with and in Christ

Be careful of people who are always going on about some vision they have had, giving such visions more importance than Christ himself

Reflection:
If you Google "how to find fulfilment", hundreds of articles appear.
Few of them mention what St Paul says above:
only by friendship with Jesus can we find fulfilment

Prayer: Jesus, please increase your influence in my life, increase your friendship with me

Reading:  Luke 9

When the time came for Jesus to finish his life on earth, he resolutely took the road to Jerusalem

As Jesus and his disciples traveled along, they met a man who said to him "I will follow you wherever you go". Jesus replied "Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but I have nowhere to lay my head"

Reflection:
"Resolutely" implies courage, conviction, determination, commitment.
May Jesus example of resoluteness give us courage in testing times

Prayer:
Jesus, please give me  courage to do what I should do
