  Reading:  Exodus 2

God invited Moses, Aaron, Nadab and 70 other men
to see him face to face.

They saw God face to face and ate and drank in his presence.

Under God's feet the ground was like a pure blue jewel.

God then invited Moses to go up the mountain.

A cloud covered the mountain
and for 6 days the glory of the Lord settled on the mountain.

On the seventh day God spoke with Moses inside the cloud.

Moses stayed on the mountain for about 40 days.

Reflection:
Our God is not a remote Heavenly Hermit, but someone who likes company....likes to party .....which is why Jesus, the Incarnate Son, liked to mix with people. He didn't "stay at home and communicate at a distance". He went to people were they were, in good times and in sad

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you times of prayer and times of service of the poor ....when we are in your company

Reading: Psalm 85

I will hear what the Lord God has to say,
a voice that speaks of peace.

Peace for his people and his friends
and those who turn to him in their hearts.

His help is near for those who love him
and his glory will dwell in our land.

Mercy and faithfulness have met.
Justice and peace have embraced.

Faithfulness shall spring from the earth
and justice shall look down from heaven.

The Lord will make us prosper
and our earth shall yield its fruit.

Justice shall march before him
and peace shall follow his steps

Reflection:
When Jesus said at the Last Supper that he was giving his special gift of peace,
he was confirming the above words
that God's voice speaks of peace

Prayer: Lord, please give more peace to our world

Reading:  Philippians 3

Our homeland is in heaven. We wait for the Savior from heaven who will transfigure these wretched bodies of ours into copies of his glorious body

He will do this by the same power he has as C.E.O. of the universe

So, do not stop running but remain faithful in the Lord

 Reflection:
The thought of heaven gives us courage and hope for our daily lives here on earth

Prayer:
Jesus, please increase my longing for heaven

Reading:  Luke 8

Jesus' mother and his brothers came looking for him.
They could not get to him because of the crowd

Jesus was told "Your mother and brothers want to see you"

Jesus replied "My mother and brothers are people who hear the word of God and put it into practice"

Reflection:
Jesus is saying that spiritual ties are on a higher plane than physical ties

Prayer:
Jesus, please help me put your word into practice in my daily life
