Readings for the 16th Sunday of the Year (C)
1st Reading: Abraham entertains heavenly guests, just as Martha and Mary entertain a heavenly guest in the Gospel
Responsorial
Psalm: The just will live in the presence of the Lord
...a hint of heaven, where we will be God's guests, for ever
2nd Reading: Jesus himself is hope....our hope in this life...and our hope of a heavenly life with him
Gospel: A heavenly guest wants to spend time with us each day ....in prayer
Reflection: Martha, Mary ...and Pope Francis
Prayer:
Jesus, help me love you like Mary
....listening to your words each day in prayer
and help me serve you like Martha ....serving you each day in the poor
