 Reading - Reflection - Prayer   May 5, 2013

Readings for the Sixth Sunday of Easter (C)

First Reading:  "We all have to experience hardships"....keep going!

Responsorial Psalm:  Especially in difficult times...let's "bless the name of the Lord"

Second Reading:  Hardships are a temporary phenomenon ....coming soon: an eternal home with no hardship

Gospel:  In good times and in bad, let's keep "loving one another as Jesus loves us"

Reflection:  Pope Francis has called on Catholics "to go out" ...to get more involved in the world....to give stronger witness to God's love,
by loving the way Jesus taught us

Prayer:  Dear Jesus, may all Christians look "out" rather than "in"....and thereby give better witness to your love for the world
