Readings for Feast of the Holy Innocents
 
The first reading:   There can be no compromise between "light" and "darkness"

 Responsorial Psalm:  God rescues us from "darkness"

Gospel:  The massacre of Bethlehem's baby boys

Reflection:
 In recent years this day has been a day of prayer for the unborn,
prayer that abortion ceases to be so common

Prayer: Jesus, please help governments do more to foster a culture of life,
so that abortion becomes a rarity
