Readings: Today let's use the special before-Christmas readings:  Dec 19

 The first reading:  The story of Samson, who would become a leader to rescue the Israelites from their enemies 

 Responsorial Psalm: Samson was blessed from his mother's womb, just like Jesus

Gospel:  The story of John the Baptist, who would be the one to prepare Jesus' way

Reflection:
Two miraculous conception stories - Samson and John the Baptist - 
pre-figuring the miraculous conception of Jesus.
In fact, every conception is a miracle, a blessing from God!

Prayer: Jesus, please bless all babies conceived today!
