The New Translation

More bloggers, more tank people,
wanted  from all parts of the world!

Contact: jdwomi@gmail.com
(notice that tank man is on a crossing!)

Agenda of "Reform of the Reform" tanks:   no more Communion under both kinds, Latin Mass with priest not facing people, no lay people (except altar boys) on sanctuary, no altar girls, no special ministers, Communion on tongue while kneeling down, no more deacons, more censorship, more control by Rome, Vatican II teaching undermined

Sunday January 6
Feast of The Epiphany.
The 12th Day of Christmas

The God of All Nations
 David Timbs
(Sunday blogger from Australia)
What Matthew invites his community to do with this story is to explore what the Magi’s quest was focused on. It was illumination, an epiphany of divine intervention. They were searchers for wisdom and so it is not surprising that their presence supports the key Wisdom (Sophia in Greek) theme of the first Gospel. They were symbols of an outside world desperately in need of enlightenment and guidance

The Didache
Chris McDonnell

(UK Wed blogger)
It is mentioned by the Early Fathers and then appears to have been lost. It was only re-discovered in Constantinople in the late 1800s. It gives us a valuable insight to those formative years. It gives us direction for the Christian Community emerging from its Jewish root and reflects on the lived experience of those early Christian years.
